一年容易又中秋，大家喺英國過咗幾多個中秋呢？大家中秋又係點過架呢？想喺英國同來自香港嘅朋友同埋其他英國人過一個「香港式」中秋？細葉榕人道支援基金將會聯同英國港僑協會、Manchester Stands With Hong Kong、Leeds Umbrella CIC 以及各界心繫香港嘅好友同組織舉行《團圓》中秋展覽，希望藉此同大家重溫中秋節嘅歷史文化起源，回顧近年手足喺中秋相關行動同故事，分享現時喺世界不同角落或者處境嘅香港朋友點樣渡過呢個團圓嘅日子，同埋一齊回味喺香港過節嘅氣氛。
展覽內容包括：
- 中秋節嘅由來同相關嘅故事
- 香港人團圓嘅習俗同近年來英港人嘅團圓活動
- 不同中秋相關嘅藝術呈現，如電影欣賞、攝影相片、明信片展覽、畫作展示等等
- 中秋手作工作坊：傳統手作燈籠工作坊同中秋信箋工作坊
展覽嘅內容將會中英對照，歡迎大家同本地嘅朋友一齊嚟參觀。到時見！
Autumn is quickly approaching. How many Mid-Autumn Festivals have you spent in the UK? What do you do during this festive period? Do you want to celebrate Mid-Autumn Festival in a Hong Kong style with Hongkongers and fellow Brits in the UK? Bonham Tree Aid CIC is collaborating with Hongkongers in Britain, Manchester Stands With Hong Kong, Leeds Umbrella CIC, and other friends and organisations who love Hong Kong to host a Mid-Autumn Festival Exhibition ‘Reunion’. In this exhibition, we can revisit the historic and cultural origins of Mid-Autumn Festival, review events and stories of Hongkongers at Mid-Autumn Festival in recent years, understand how other Hongkongers across the globe celebrate, and experience the joy of reunion as if we were in Hong Kong.
The exhibition will include:
- The origin of Mid-Autumn Festival and its related stories
- Mid-Autumn Festival traditions in Hong Kong, and reunion activities among Hongkonger communities in the UK in recent years
- Various art forms related to Mid-Autumn Festival, e.g., film appreciation, exhibition of photos, postcards, and artworks
- Handicraft workshops: DIY traditional lantern and letter paper for Mid-Autumn Festival
All exhibits will be bilingual (English and Hongkongese). You are more than welcome to bring your local British friends to the event. See you there!
