Project LGBTQ+ is an initiative launched by Hongkongers in Britain (HKB) in April 2023, aimed at providing support for LGBTQ+ Hongkongers living in the UK and promoting equality in the Hongkonger communities in the UK.
The project seeks to:
- Create a safe space for LGBTQ+ Hongkongers
- Empower LGBTQ+ Hongkongers to express themselves freely
- Connect LGBTQ+ Hongkongers with the wider LGBTQ+ community in the UK
- Educate and raise awareness about the challenges faced by LGBTQ+ Hongkongers
- Enhance the acceptance of LGBTQ+ in the Hongkonger communities
The project is a crucial step towards Hongkongers’ integration in UK society, where everyone is treated with respect and dignity, regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity.
