適逢十一，英國港僑協會與 Re-Water 將合辦社區論壇。為了促進社群融和彼此了解，我們邀請了大學講師 David Tobin 向本地居民分享亞裔及其來歷的不同故事，例如維吾爾人的出身、文化、際遇和困難，以及兩位不同年齡層的離散香港人分享他們對在英國參與香港人舉辦的活動時的感受，是否感到安全、舒適、融入？而該感受的原因為何？。我們誠意邀請各位參加，藉此集思廣益和互相支持。同場將會有 Lennon Art 的作品展。Re-Water 早前舉辦與不同族裔交流的計劃，計劃中收集了各人用毛冷編織成如 post-it 般大小的小方塊，織成一張大毛氈，寓意和而不同，共同為更好的社區努力，保衛我們恆常自由的生活方式。希望到時見到大家！
Hongkongers in Britain and Re-Water are co-organising a Community Forum on 1st October. We are honoured to have David Tobin, a lecturer in East Asian Studies at the University of Sheffield, to invite local residents to understand about the culture and predicament of Uyghurs, Asians and other ethnic minorities in the UK.
We have also invited two Hongkongers of different age groups to share their feeling, including what sense of belonging, trust and security when participating in various activities in the UK. Why and how about such trauma? This forum is a rare chance to open for people to speak out and address it together. You are cordially invited to join in the fruitful dialogue and offer support to one another.
Apart from the Community Forum, there will also be an exhibition of Lennon Art. Re-Water has organised a cultural exchange project for people of different ethnic backgrounds. During the project, Re-Water collected woollen squares of the size of post-it notes, and weaved them into a large blanket, symbolising unity in the pursuit of solidarity and social progression.
