Hongkongers in Britain (HKB) offers an interactive workshop to build your confidence and equip you with the necessary vocabulary, grammar, and skills for success in your B1 test.
ℹ️ HKB is aware of the UK Government’s proposal to raise the English proficiency requirement to B2 for future settlement (ILR) applications. At this moment, the Trinity College has confirmed with us that currently their GESE Grade 5 (B1) examination remains valid for ILR applications. We are actively engaging with the UK Government regarding the importance of maintaining the existing English requirement for BN(O) visa holders. In the meantime, before the UK Government makes its final decision, we continue to assist Hongkongers in preparing for and passing Trinity College’s Secure English Language Test at the B1 level.

- Attend all four workshop sessions.
The instructor holds a Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages issued by Cambridge English.
This B1 test preparation activity has been developed and is delivered independently by HKB specifically for UK Hongkongers. It does not carry third-party accreditation.
