If you’re unsure how well you’ll pass the B1 English Test, consider taking part in the 1-to-1 1-to-1 Mock B1 English Test organised by Hongkongers in Britain. During a 30-minute session, an instructor will speak with you in English about both your chosen topic and the six topics outlined in the test syllabus. After the mock test, the instructor will provide feedback on your spoken English, helping you build confidence in passing the test and achieving a higher score.
ℹ️ HKB is aware of the UK Government’s proposal to raise the English proficiency requirement to B2 for future settlement (ILR) applications. At this moment, the Trinity College has confirmed with us that currently their GESE Grade 5 (B1) examination remains valid for ILR applications. We are actively engaging with the UK Government regarding the importance of maintaining the existing English requirement for BN(O) visa holders. In the meantime, before the UK Government makes its final decision, we continue to assist Hongkongers in preparing for and passing Trinity College’s Secure English Language Test at the B1 level.
